I'm Parveen Kumar, a full-stack engineer and systems architect. I build custom platforms for startups and businesses in India and the UAE — web, mobile and the backend systems underneath — and I stay on through deployment and operations. My focus is system design: realtime, auth, queues, payments and the infrastructure that keeps them running.

Principles

How I think about systems

Most production problems are not exotic. They come from the same few places, so I design for them up front.

  1. 01

    Design the failure path first

    Payments get retried, webhooks arrive twice, networks drop. I use idempotency keys, timeouts and explicit retry rules so a bad minute does not become bad data.

  2. 02

    Keep requests fast, move work to queues

    PDF generation, WhatsApp and Telegram messages, notifications and imports run on Redis-backed workers. The user gets a quick response; the heavy work happens reliably behind it.

  3. 03

    Auth is a system, not a login page

    Short-lived access tokens, rotated refresh tokens, revocation, and role-based access checked on the server — designed before the first screen is built.

  4. 04

    Realtime only where it changes a decision

    Socket.IO rooms scoped to the thing people are watching — an order, a ticket, a dashboard — rather than broadcasting everything to everyone.

  5. 05

    Own the deploy

    CI/CD, environments, logs, backups and a rollback plan on AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean or a VPS. I ship what I can operate, and I stay on after launch.

  6. 06

    Fix it where it hurts: under real load

    The work I find most rewarding is a live system struggling under real traffic — finding the actual bottleneck, fixing it, and proving the fix with before-and-after numbers.

Journey

How I got here

Self-taught, client-first. I learned by shipping real projects and staying on to run them.

Full timeline

  1. 2021

    Started building for clients — first websites, then full web applications.

  2. 2024

    Built FileMyReturn's tax filing platform and the Zafari travel app, API and admin.

  3. 2025

    Began the Uhire hiring platform engagement in November.

  4. 2026

    Launched PayRecord and AnythingKart; shipped the Pasutam Dairy app to both stores.
